The problem
A missed call at a small trade business is usually a lost job — the caller just calls the next name on the list.
What I built
leadline: when a local trade business misses a call, the caller gets a friendly text within seconds. The AI collects what they need, and the business owner gets a summary so they can call back ready to close.
Stack
FastAPI, SQLite, Twilio, Claude. Runs isolated on its own DMZ network segment.
What broke and how I fixed it
Still pre-launch, so I’ll keep this honest: the hard part so far has been keeping it isolated from the rest of the homelab while still reachable from Twilio. Solved with a named Cloudflare tunnel instead of opening anything up directly.
